REMOTE LEARNING/ CLASS EXPECTATIONS:
1. The two days you are at home remote learning are not days off!
2. You will need to complete 75 hours of moderate- vigorous physical activity and record in your Activity Log books to complete the course. The Activity Log book must be updated daily. When you are at home during remote learning, you are responsible for completing and documenting the workouts posted on this Weebly page.
3. Due to COVID-19, there will be less physical activity done at school, so you will need to get active on your own in order to reach the 75 hour requirement. For the days that we do have gym class, you must wear your St. B uniform inside and proper clothing when we are outside. This means you will need jogging/sweat pants for outside activity. The safest place for gym class is outside, so expect to be outside as often as possible.
4. Please check this Weebly page daily for updates and questions to be answered in your log books. These will be posted every Friday.
5. You 're welcome to also do your own physical activity but it must be recorded in your Activity Log. As noted in the course outline, daily reflections must be a minimum of 4 sentences. The Activity Log is designed for you to take ownership of your physical activity and well being.

February Alphabet Fitness
Do the corresponding exercises for the letters of each word per day. For an extra challenge, choose more challenging words or phrases on weekends for your word choices. You should also be doing your own workouts in addition to these warm-up exercises. Include in your Activity Log.
Marching Into Spring Workout
Make sure you are doing a proper dynamic warm-up before doing your daily workout. You should be beginning to push yourself hard in order to reach your fitness goals. When using weights, make sure they are not too heavy. Proper form is the most important factor when doing these exercises. You can also incorporate many of your favourite exercises into the routines. Make sure you are recording it all in your activity log book. You should be doing these workouts daily- they are not optional! You may add or reduce the number of exercises depending on your fitness level. Please write down reflections of the workouts in your activity log book as well.
|
*Make sure you are resting for approximately 30 seconds- 1 minute between each set of exercises.*
Please ensure you are using proper form. If you are using weights, make sure they are not too heavy. FUN FRIDAYS- Start with one of the exercises, count up then count back down. For example, start with 1 push up all the way up to 10, then count back down (110 total reps). |
April No Fools Workout!
For April, there will be 7 different workouts. You should be doing a minimum of 4 of these workouts per week, up to a maximum of 6. If you find them too easy, you can increase the reps, increase the weight, or add your favourite exercises. Remember to use proper form and to push yourself so you can reach your goals! The Easter Bunny will be here soon and he is going to check to see if you are in shape!
